This is a story about two mongrel dogs who live on a run down public housing estate in the North of England. It is a tough life but they survive. They do have an owner, and he goes off to Spain to "do a job" and leaves the dogs in the hands of a local drug dealer. However, the drug dealer is sent to jail to do a stretch and the dogs are left alone, but rather than being picked up by the local dog catcher they go and live in the greenhouse on the allotments and the good folks of the Estate bring them food and look after them.
